By Season
winter……a long hot bath with the lights out but surrounded by tea lights
spring……. and a Jo Malone candle scented in Stephanotis and Cassia Café
summer….. a wine goblet filled to the brim with chilled San Pellegrino
autumn….. and Yvonne Washington’s Autumn in New York playing in the background
oh, and preferably my naked fiancé opposite me (sorry!) ST

Laugh
I de-stress by laughing. Thinking back on exciting times with friends and family and laughing it up always helps me relax and realise just how good life really is. HP

Perspective
I think we get stressed when we loose a natural sense of perspective. When I want to de-stress I imagine that I am looking down on myself from above, then I gradually expand that view, until I in my minds eye I am a tiny spec . Ultimately I can't see myself at all, just the world at large like a satellite picture from space. When I feel I have a sense of how small by problems are in the scheme of things . I "zoom in" again and retake my place in the universe. MJ

Massage

Sitting at the computer for soooo many hours a day I find the best way for me to relieve the tension is a massage.

I find that sometimes I need the therapist to get right in their and work those knots out and at other times a more calming gentle massage will send me walking out refreshed and alive.

Take the opportunity to spend 30-60mins to switch off and just be. Find a therapist who will combine your massage with soft music, candles and aromatherapy for pure, indulgent stress release!
