Michelle Jank

I first came across Michelle Jank in a magazine a few years ago in an article profiling the designer and her love of collecting antique jewellery pieces which she would then work into fabulous designer gowns. What took me about the story was the picture of Michelle's process/ visual diary which was an artwork in itself, full of cuttings and drawings of inspiration. It was a small insight into this designer who draws on all means of objects, fabrics and jewellery to inspire her magical creative process.

I love the individuallity of each of Michelle's creations which take on a handmade nature with their intricate detail. The results of her experiemention with colour, fabric and embelishments are truely elegant dresses with a delightful touch of fantasy.
